TradeTapIQ respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how it is protected when you use our services, including the client portal.


TradeTapIQ only collects the information necessary to deliver leads, operate the service, and provide authorized client access to lead information. We do not sell personal data, and lead information always belongs to the business that receives it.

Our Role and the Trades Business's Role

TradeTapIQ provides lead capture, notification, and portal access services to trades businesses ("clients"). When an end-customer submits a form on a client's website, the client is the organization accountable for that end-customer's personal information under applicable privacy law. TradeTapIQ acts as a service provider processing that information on the client's behalf to deliver the TradeTapIQ service.


This Privacy Policy describes how TradeTapIQ handles information in both capacities — as the operator of the TradeTapIQ service for its clients, and as a service provider processing end-customer lead data on behalf of its clients.

Information We Collect

TradeTapIQ collects only the information required to configure and operate the service.


From clients (the trades business), this may include:


  • Owner or contact name

  • Business name

  • Email address

  • Phone number, used to send SMS alerts to the client if SMS alerts are enabled on their plan

  • Business hours and lead-handling preferences


From end-customers who submit forms on a client's website, this may include:


  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Service details and any other information the end-customer provides in the form


TradeTapIQ does not collect or store payment card information on this website. Payment information is handled directly by Stripe.

How We Use Information

Information is used only to operate and support the TradeTapIQ service.


This may include:


  • Configuring and operating the client's lead capture system

  • Delivering lead notifications to clients by email

  • Sending SMS alerts to clients if the SMS feature is enabled on their plan

  • Generating AI-assisted lead summaries, urgency ratings, and suggested next steps for clients on the Smart and Priority plans

  • Providing authorized client users with access to lead information through the TradeTapIQ portal

  • Sending administrative communications such as confirmations, billing notices, service updates, and onboarding messages

  • Providing setup assistance and support communication


TradeTapIQ does not use information for advertising, marketing resale, or data brokerage.

AI Processing

Clients on the Smart and Priority plans receive AI-assisted lead summaries, urgency ratings, and suggested next steps. To provide these features, lead information submitted through the client's website form is processed by an AI system. The outputs of this processing are advisory only and may contain errors. Clients should not rely on AI-generated content as the sole basis for decisions about contacting, prioritizing, or responding to leads.

Customer Lead Data

TradeTapIQ acts as a processing, notification, and portal-access tool for lead submissions made through a client's website.


  • Lead data belongs to the client (the trades business) receiving the lead.

  • TradeTapIQ processes lead data only to deliver the TradeTapIQ service.

  • TradeTapIQ does not sell, market, or repurpose lead information.

Data Storage and Security

Lead, account, and configuration data is stored and processed using secure third-party infrastructure providers, which currently include:


  • Google (Google Workspace and Google Drive, for data storage and email delivery)

  • Twilio (for SMS alert delivery on the Priority plan)

  • Vercel (for portal hosting)

  • Neon (for portal account database)

  • Stripe (for billing)

  • Make.com (for workflow automation between systems)


TradeTapIQ uses reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Data Sharing

TradeTapIQ does not sell or share personal information with third parties except in the following situations:


  • When necessary to operate the service, through the third-party providers listed above

  • When required to comply with legal obligations, lawful requests by public authorities, or to protect TradeTapIQ's legal rights


Third-party service providers may process data only for the purpose of delivering the TradeTapIQ service.

Data Retention

TradeTapIQ retains data only as long as needed to operate the service and meet operational and legal obligations.


  • Client account information and lead data are retained throughout the active service period.

  • If service is cancelled or terminated, the client retains portal access and the ability to export lead data through the end of the current paid billing period.

  • After the end of the current paid billing period, portal access is removed.

  • Client data, including the leads sheet and business information sheet, is permanently deleted within 90 days of service termination, except where TradeTapIQ is required to retain certain records for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

  • Clients may request earlier deletion of their data by contacting support@tradetapiq.com.

Breach Notification

If TradeTapIQ becomes aware of a security breach involving personal information that creates a real risk of significant harm to affected individuals, TradeTapIQ will notify affected individuals and report the breach to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and any other applicable authorities, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable laws.

International Data Processing

TradeTapIQ relies on third-party service providers whose infrastructure operates in multiple jurisdictions, including Canada, the United States, and other countries.


By using the service, you acknowledge that data may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in these jurisdictions. TradeTapIQ remains accountable for the protection of personal information transferred to service providers for processing, and uses contractual and operational safeguards to require those providers to protect the information.

Commercial Electronic Messages

Service emails and SMS messages sent by TradeTapIQ to clients are sent in connection with the TradeTapIQ service and in accordance with the consent provided during onboarding and account management. Clients can unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time. Transactional and service-related messages (such as billing notices, lead alerts, and account updates) are not optional while the service is active.


Clients are responsible for ensuring that their own communications with end-customers — including any confirmation emails sent through TradeTapIQ to leads who submit forms on their website — comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and other applicable communications laws.

Cookies and Analytics

The TradeTapIQ website and portal use basic analytics tools, currently including Google Analytics, to understand traffic and improve performance. These tools may set cookies in your browser.


The TradeTapIQ website and portal may also use browser-based storage to support partner referral tracking and session functionality.


TradeTapIQ does not use invasive tracking or advertising profiling. You can disable cookies in your browser settings and opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out tools, though some site or portal functionality may be limited as a result.

Your Rights

You may:


  • Request access to the personal information TradeTapIQ holds about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information

  • Request deletion of your account data if you stop using the service

  • Update your business or account information directly through the portal

  • Disable optional features such as SMS alerts

  • Withdraw consent to optional communications at any time

Children's Privacy

TradeTapIQ is intended for use by businesses and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. TradeTapIQ does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Privacy Officer

TradeTapIQ has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for compliance with this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws. The Privacy Officer can be contacted at support@tradetapiq.com.


If you have a complaint about TradeTapIQ's privacy practices that has not been resolved to your satisfaction, you also have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca.

Changes to This Policy

TradeTapIQ may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy will be revised when changes are made. Material changes may be communicated to clients through the portal or by email. Continued use of the service after updates take effect indicates acceptance of the revised Policy.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from this Policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Alberta, Canada.
